2K COMPILATION

Review by @signalfireofficial:
Expanding their fierce grip on the global sound system scene - DeepEnd! readies their next barrage of low end frequencies. Furthering the Slovenian bass music massive through one heavyweight outing after another - including the debut 12” compilation, treading in vinyl territory. To commemorate their tenth digital release, the notoriously talented producers step forth with a collage of unadulterated pressure. The crew in full effect, unloading seven thunderous tracks.

Pressing play, CLZ’s lures keen listeners into treacherous caves, faint drones echo through profound soundscapes of haunting wails and oriental harmonies. Aesthetically reverberated foley effects join the break-influenced percussion with the first murderous bassline of many. Rounding the track off, ’Lament’ ceases with subtle chimes and a melancholic switch-up of epic proportions. Thrown into a ponderous intro, DubDiggerz head straight into it - conjuring a both bubbly and menacing atmosphere. Raising dub sirens from hell. Led on by its forward-minded arrangement and Dub-inclined FX - ‘Smoki’ kicks you into its expressive sub flow, sure to wreck mayhem on any capable rig. FLO’s ‘Pai Mei Dub’ takes on an alarming nature, introducing Samurai-esque vocals and experimental notions. Entrenched in relentless low-frequency pulses, this one’s as deadly as it comes.

Setting course for Gisaza’s ‘Vipress’ the ridiculously stomping groove and perilous second part speak for itself. ‘Acid’ deceives with atmospheric surges & reverberated ambience - the organic groove propelling Kanomotis’ highly proficient sound design through classy fills, breaks & tasteful distortion. Static hum - minimal clicks and toned down percussion spur Pier’s ‘Desert Force’ inciting the dance floor through elaborated syncopation and nostalgic bassline, reminiscent of old-school Dubstep. Raising hell one last time, RawLand leaps into endless, yearning space. Alongside pensive lead harmonics, the drum instrumentation of stellar quality concludes this phenomenal compilation.
